Anyone watching the Chicago Bears vs. Cleveland Browns game was treated to one of the wildest finishes this NFL season. For fans of the Bears, it was more of a nightmare finish.

Chicago entered the fourth quarter with a 17-7 lead, but the Bears could not close the deal. Joe Flacco connected with Amari Cooper for a game-tying touchdown with 3 minutes remaining, and the Browns would eventually kick a game-winning field goal with 32 seconds remaining.

Remarkably, Justin Fields was able to give the Bears one last shot. He connected with Tyler Scott for a big gain, but Chicago was unable to get into field goal range.

The Bears would settle for one final Hail Mary, but that pass into the end zone nearly produced a game-winning touchdown. After getting batted into the air by multiple defenders, the ball fell to Darnell Mooney who nearly possessed the ball.

Unfortunately, it bounced away from Mooney as the Browns held on for the 20-17 win. Check it out:

Here’s a glimpse at how social media reacted to the wild sequence and another episode of heartbreak for the Bears:
