Former Alabama defensive back Ronnie Harrison Jr. has landed a new opportunity. On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons have signed the veteran safety, who last played for the Indianapolis Colts.

A 2-time national champion, Harrison spent 3 seasons at Alabama (2015-17). He capped his college career by being named first-team All-SEC in 2017 before declaring early for the 2018 NFL Draft. In a return to his home state of Florida, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Harrison No. 93 overall.

Harrison spent his first 2 professional seasons in Jacksonville, playing in 28 games and making 22 starts. He put up the best numbers of his career in 2019 with 71 total tackles and 9 passes defended.

The Jaguars traded Harrison to the Cleveland Browns in 2020. Harrison spent 3 seasons with the Browns, making 39 appearances (23 starts).

Harrison joined the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2023 season. Over the past 2 seasons, he spent time on the practice squad and active roster, playing in 17 games with 3 starts in 2023.

In his career, Harrison has played in 84 games with 48 starts. He has logged 245 combined tackles, 25 passes defended and 7 interceptions.
