Former LSU Tigers wide receiver and Cincinnati Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase exited practice early on Tuesday after landing awkwardly and appearing to suffer a lower body injury. Chase clutched at his left knee after the play and attempted to walk back to the sideline under his own power but fell to the ground in pain.

Later, Chase was able to gingerly walk under his own power with trainers nearby, as you can see in the second video below.

It’s worth noting that he did not head to the locker room and did not need a cart or anything of that nature. However, Chase also did not rejoin practice and was seen stretching after taking the awkward fall.

Expect an update from Bengals head coach Zac Taylor before the day is up.

Chase is by all accounts considered one of the best wide receivers in football right now. The former LSU wideout won a national title with the Tigers in 2019 and has posted 5 straight 1,000-yard seasons since being drafted in 2021. Across his career thus far — including playoffs — Chase has totaled 565 receptions, 7,425 yards and 55 receiving touchdowns while appearing in 85 games.
