Former LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in the Commanders’ blowout loss to the Seahawks during Sunday Night Football.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Commanders were driving and had a 2nd and Goal to cut the deficit to 38-7. Daniels escaped the pocket and was running for the end zone when Seahawks defender Drake Thomas wrapped Daniels up and spun him to the ground. Daniels braced himself with his left arm when falling and injured his elbow in the process.

This is the third injury Daniels has suffered so far this season, but it’s the first that threatens to keep him out long-term.

Here’s a clip of the graphic injury:

Daniels previously suffered a sprained knee in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. This injury sidelined Daniels for the next two weeks, and he returned in Week 5. Two weeks later, Daniels suffered a hamstring injury in a Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He missed the next week against the Chiefs but returned the week after for the Commanders’ Sunday Night Game against the Seahawks.

Daniels is set to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the damage, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It’s been a tough season for the Commanders, who are now 3-6 on the year and have lost 4 in a row.
