Madden fans are getting closer to being able to play the game, as the early release date for the game will be on August 7. During the few days before that, EA Sports is releasing some content and previews to what fans can expect in the game.
On Monday, they released the players who are in the “99” club, which is the highest rating a player can receive in the game. LSU is well represented on this prestigious list, as former receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase are both going to be a 99 overall.
The wide receiver duo are the only 2 receivers on the list; with there being only 7 total players rated 99. The others are Josh Allen, Lane Johnson, Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley and Myles Garrett.
This is the first of many announcements that Madden will be releasing in the next few days. On Tuesday, the game will announce the ratings of the 2025 NFL Draft class.
When the football video games start getting released, that is a great sign that football is getting close to starting. EA NCAA Football 2026 was released in early July, giving football fans something to get them excited for the upcoming football season. Now, with Madden 26 being available to play in just over a week, the 2025 football season is nearly ready to roll.
