The Miami Dolphins made huge news a few years ago when they traded for five picks, including a first-round pick in 2022 to the Kansas City Chiefs to acquire all-pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
During this past season, Hill tore his ACL and dislocated his knee ending his season short. However, that injury didn’t just end his season, but it ended his time in Miami as the Dolphins announced on Monday that they would be releasing Hill.
The move saves the Dolphins $22.8 million against the salary cap. The Dolphins are entering a new era with Jeff Hafley replacing Mike McDaniel as the head coach in Miami. There are also questions on what to do with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has also had to deal with his fair share of injuries the past few years.

Hill spent four years in Miami, and instantly showed why the Dolphins acquired him as he had 119 catches for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns in his first season. He was even better in Year 2, as he had 119 catches with 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Through 10 years, he has 819 catches for 11,363 yards and 83 touchdowns. At 32 years old, there are questions on whether or not Hill be able to return to his old form.
However, there figures to be teams who would be interested in possibly acquiring Hill, with his old team the Kansas City Chiefs being in need of a wide receiver.
