Nick Emmanwori is good to go for the Super Bowl.
Emmanwori injured his ankle in practice on Sunday. The former South Carolina star, however, was absent from the injury report on Friday, indicating he is cleared to play for the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots.
It’s a positive development, but hardly a surprise. There was understandable concern when news broke of Emmanwori’s injury just days before the Super Bowl, but both the star defensive back and his coach expressed confidence in his availability for Sunday.

A second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Emmanwori has been an impact addition for the Seahawks. Emmanwori was named to the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team for the 2025 season.
In his debut year, Emmanwori has played in 14 regular-season games, making 11 starts. For the year, he was 81 total tackles, including 56 solo stops, 9 TFLs and 4 QB hits. In coverage, Emmanwori has 11 passes defended, including an interception snagged against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 7.
