The exclusion of both Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft from the NFL Hall of Fame’s 2026 Class has created quite the outcry among former players, coaches and fans alike, with many calling for change to occur as a result.
The Hall of Fame has already released statements saying that it will be looking into altering some of its guidelines and potentially punishing voters who do not follow them as stated.
If former New England Patriots wide receive Randy Moss had things his way, the voting pool would be limited exclusively to former players and coaches from the league. He took to Postseason NFL Countdown on ESPN to explain his thoughts on what needs to change.
“If you didn’t play it, if you didn’t coach it, you shouldn’t have a vote,” Moss said. “I know it’s gonna ruffle some feathers…I don’t care who you are. But I also don’t want to take any shine away from the guys who get selected.”
Moss became the 6th receiver to be named a first-ballot Hall of Fame when he was selected in 2018, joining Jerry Rice, Steve Largent, Paul Warfield, Lance Alworth and Raymond Berry.
The inductees for the 2026 Hall of Fame include Drew Brees, Roger Craig, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly and Adam Vinatieri.
