Bettor makes head-scratching wager for NFL's worst record in 2021
The Cleveland Browns are coming off of an 11-5 regular season a first-round playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers but one bettor seems to think they could be in a rough for 2021.
Bleacher Report shared that FanDuel received a $700 bet on the Browns to have the NFL’s worst record in 2021. The bettor would win $175,000 if the Browns are indeed the worst team this fall.
Former Georgia running back Nick Chubb and Texas A&M defensive lineman Myles Garrett were selected to the Pro Bowl. Garrett was also one of Cleveland’s four AP All-Pros. The Browns are set to return their top pass-catchers, including Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. Cleveland’s wide receiver coach also recently discussed finding ways to get the ball in the hands of former Auburn speedster Anthony Schwartz, a third-round draft pick. On defense, the Browns added former No. 1 pick out of South Carolina, Jadeveon Clowney.
The Browns look to be in for another solid season on paper, but maybe the bettor knows something we don’t.
Well here’s an interesting bet…
A @FDSportsbook bettor just put down $700 on the Cleveland Browns to have the worst record in the NFL this season
It would payout $175K 😅 pic.twitter.com/1JFe9ADluO
