Former Alabama running back Mark Ingram spent the first 8 years of his NFL career in New Orleans before moving on to Baltimore and then Houston. So when Ingram returned home to New Orleans, everyone in the organization from fans to players were excited about Ingram’s return to the team.

Safety Malcolm Jenkins talked about the impact of Ingram’s return has had on this team.

“It’s been a spark to our team right at a point where we needed it,” he said.

Jenkins also said Ingram brought a “flare and swagger” back to the team. The Saints needed both especially after they lost starting quarterback Jameis Winston for the season.

The Saints will face the Eagles Sunday at noon CT/1 p.m. ET.
