Baker Mayfield trolls players who planted Texas flag through his Oklahoma jersey after Red River Rivalry win

Baker Mayfield was no doubt tuned into the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry, the first meeting between Texas and Oklahoma as SEC programs.
Unfortunately for Mayfield and the Sooners, the Longhorns got the best of their opponent, winning 34-3 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Oklahoma had a 3-0 lead after the first quarter before the Longhorns exploded for 21 points in the second half, pitching a shutout the rest of the way.
After the game, Longhorns linebackers Anthony Hill Jr. and Barryn Sorrell planted a Texas flag at midfield through Mayfield’s Oklahoma jersey, a callback to when Mayfield did it during his time with the Sooners — most famously after the Sooners defeated Ohio State at Ohio Stadium in 2017.
Naturally, the topic came up after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew out the New Orleans Saints 51-27 behind a 4-touchdown day from Mayfield.
“Just a kid from Austin, Texas that went to Oklahoma, won his last two Red River games, and being rent-free in their heads for almost a decade, so, yeah,” he replied when asked about the incident.
Needless to say, the hate for Texas continues to run strong in the blood of Mayfield. It’s obviously worth mentioning that the Longhorns were among the host of teams that didn’t extend an offer to him out of high school.
Of course, he walked on at Texas Tech before transferring to and walking on at Oklahoma, and the rest is history.
