ESPN sideline reporter Tom Luginbill went on a Birmingham sports show Tuesday morning and had lots to say about what he saw when he covered the Oklahoma game against Tulane.

Luginbill did not hold back on his criticism of the Sooners and Heisman Trophy frontrunner QB Spencer Rattler during an appearance on Next Round Live.

In fact, what he said about both may rattle some Sooner fans. He said that Oklahoma was “outcoached and outplayed” by Tulane, which had to relocate to Birmingham because of Hurricane Ida.

But what he said next, may shake a few fans when he came out and said that Ole Miss QB Matt Corral is better right now than the Sooners quarterback.

“If people are comparing Spencer Rattler to Matt Corral, Rattler is not even in his league.” Strong words about a guy who came into the season as the Heisman favorite.

Although the Sooners won the game 40-35, Rattler at times did not look like the Heisman frontrunner as most expected.

He threw for 304 yards, with a touchdown, and 2 interceptions. Meanwhile, Corral threw for 381 yards with a touchdown in the Rebels victory against Louisville.
