Former Alabama wide receiver Caleb Odom entered the transfer portal on Dec. 8. Less than 2 weeks later, the former top prospect has found a landing spot in Ole Miss.

The wideout was a true freshman in 2024 and caught 7 passes for 65 yards. Odom was overshadowed by fellow true freshman Ryan Williams, who quickly took over the No. 1 WR role in Tuscaloosa. Now, Odom will look to restart his college career in Oxford with Lane Kiffin.

Before heading to Tuscaloosa, Odom starred for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, GA. He was listed as a 4-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite ranking and was the No. 7 prospect out of Georgia in the 2024 class. The Tide beat out Auburn, Texas A&M, Florida, and others for Odom’s services last year.

Now, he will have a chance to play a huge role for the Rebels in 2025. Antwane Wells Jr., Tre Harris, Micah Davis, and Jordan Watkins are all out of eligibility, so there’s room for a WR to take over as the No. 1.

Odom becomes the 10th player to commit to the Rebels so far in this cycle. Odom joins De’Zhaun Stribling, who transferred from Oklahoma State, as the duo tries to rebuild the receiver room in Oxford. Further solidifying the pass-catcher group, the Rebels landed TE Luke Hasz from Arkansas as well.

The Rebels narrowly missed out on the College Football Playoff and will play the Duke Blue Devils in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
