With Georgia having released Zach Evans from his Letter of Intent, the 5-star running back is the top uncommitted recruit in the class of 2020. It appears Evans is still set on playing in the SEC and he might deliver one SEC coach a huge recruiting victory for a transition class. 247Sports is reporting that Evans will visit Ole Miss this weekend.

“The news broke earlier that Ole Miss was now in the game for the nation’s top running, Zach Evans. Yes, the same exact tailback that Ole Miss deemed as their franchise back for this class when Zach was just a 10th grader,” Yancy Porter wrote for the site. “The Rebels then fell out of the picture this summer but are now back in the game. Florida is also making a strong push. Texas A&M has been thought to be the leader since he was released his of LOI from Georgia that he signed in December.”

Evans’ original final three appeared to be Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M. Last month, ahead of the Under Armour All-America high school all-star game, he had said his final three before signing the LOI came down to Alabama, LSU and Georgia, but it appears Ole Miss, Florida and Texas A&M are the new top three with National Signing Day just around the corner.

Evans is rated the No. 1 running back and No. 14 recruit overall for the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. Check out his highlights below:
