Kewan Lacy committed to Ole Miss on Monday night.
The former Mizzou running running back entered the portal earlier this month after spending just 1 season with the Tigers. He was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2024, but will now be taking his talents to Oxford.
Lewan was a highly-rated high school recruit. He arrived at Mizzou as the No. 178 overall player and the No. 15 running back in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Ole Miss was involved in his recruitment coming out of high school as well, and he also had offers from programs such as Florida, Miami, Texas A&M, Nebraska and plenty more.
Although Lacy entered his freshman season with plenty of pedigree, he did not have a huge role in Mizzou’s offense this season. He carried the ball 23 times for 104 yards and 0 touchdowns as he was behind players like Nate Noel, Marcus Carroll and Jamal Roberts in the running back rotation.
Lacy now joins an Ole Miss transfer class that ranks No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Rebels already have 7 transfer commitments this offseason with more expected as the offseason develops.
Lacy will have 3 seasons of eligibility remaining.
