Lane Kiffin appears to have made some decisions regarding his Ole Miss coaching staff.

FootballScoop reported on Wednesday that, per sources, “Lane Kiffin has released most of the remaining on field staff from Matt Luke’s staff.”

No Luke staffers have been officially retained. All of Kiffin’s assistant hires so far have been outside hires.

Mike MacIntyre, who was defensive coordinator under Luke, was initially identified as a candidate to be retained, but recent reports link Michigan assistant Chris Partridge to the Rebels defensive coordinator position.

Kiffin is also reportedly interested in Texas A&M tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley. The Rebels have not yet announced a tight ends coach on Kiffin’s staff.

The Rebels staff under Kiffin so far includes Wilson Love (head strength coach), Jeff Lebby (offensive coordinator), Kevin Smith (offensive assistant), Blake Gideon (special teams coordinator) and Randy Clements (offensive line). Smith coached running backs under Kiffin at Florida Atlantic.
