The Ole Miss Rebels got the best of the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday, and won the top 25 battle by a score of 37-20.

Lane Kiffin opened his postgame presser by praising Tulane, and called the Green Wave a “well-coached team” and praised their toughness.

Kiffin was complimentary of his QB Jaxson Dart, and said he’s “done a great job.” Dart finished 17-for-27 for 267 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT.

One concerning note was the health of wide receiver Tre Harris. Harris departed the game after the Rebels’ 2nd offensive possession and was later seen on the sideline with a knee brace on.

When asked if the injury presented a long-term problem, Kiffin offered a positive but blunt assessment.

“It does not,” declared Kiffin. We should know more early in the week on the receiver’s availability for the Week 3 matchup against Georgia Tech.

Kiffin was happy to get a win, but stated that himself and most of his players probably would come away thinking they didn’t play that great. “The guys did a good job, but it didn’t feel great, obviously,” the coach declared.

The Rebels will next play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at home in Oxford.
