Ole Miss beats out Mississippi State for in-state WR prospect

Ole Miss made a major addition in the class of 2024 on Friday evening.

The Rebels earned a commitment from 3-star receiver Sanfrisco Magee. He had offers from programs such as Mississippi State, Louisville, Nebraska and Georgia Tech, amongst others.

Magee is a significant pickup for the Rebels. He’s the No. 842 overall prospect and the No. 108 receiver in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 24 player from Mississippi.

Magee attends McComb High School in McComb, Mississippi. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 198 pounds.

Ole Miss now has 18 commits in the class of 2024, including 9 in-state prospects. The Rebels have earned commitments from 2 of the top 5 prospects in the state, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Bulldogs currently have 1 recruit in the top 5.

Overall, Ole Miss’ class sits at No. 27 nationally. The group includes 2 other wide receivers in addition to Magee.
