In the wake of Hugh Freeze’s surprising resignation on Thursday, it was likely inevitable that Ole Miss would lose some commits.

It didn’t take long for the first athlete to reopen his recruitment, as 3-star 2019 DB Bobby Wolfe announced on Thursday night that he was de-committing from the Rebels.

Wolfe confirmed the news to Rivals reporter Russell Johnson:

Wolfe has been retweeting other tweets about him de-committing from his personal account, so it seems the news is official and he’ll explore other options.

According to the 247Sports composite, Wolfe is the No. 27 cornerback in the class of 2019 and the No. 59 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

He also has offers from Texas and LSU, among others, and may decide on a new school quickly.
