Lane Kiffin has a new opening on his Ole Miss coaching staff as offensive line coach Randy Clements has been fired.

This news comes via David Johnson of OM Spirit/247Sports, citing multiple sources regarding Clements’ dismissal in Oxford.

Following this news, Kiffin now has one opening on his Ole Miss coaching staff just days after the team wrapped up spring camp with the 2021 Grove Bowl in Oxford over the weekend.

Clements officially held the title of running game coordinator and offensive line coach for the Rebels. Clements has 30 years of coaching experience, including 10 seasons working with Ole Miss offensive coordinator, Jeff Lebby.

Prior to landing his job in Oxford, Clements was the offensive line coach at Florida State working under Kendal Briles. Clements and Briles previously worked together at Houston and Baylor.

UPDATE: Ole Miss has confirmed the news and provided the following statement from Lane Kiffin.

“After meeting with Coach Clements, it was determined that it’s in the best interest of both sides to part ways. We’re grateful to Coach for the job he did for our team over the past year, and we wish him and his family the very best moving forward.”
