Ole Miss fans are going to be fuming over this one all weekend long.

If you missed it, Ole Miss appeared to have an open touchdown as backup quarterback John Rhys Plumlee hit receiver Elijah Moore on the goal line but the play was ruled down at the one-inch line. The Rebels did not have any timeouts remaining and with the clock ticking down, they ran to the line to run a play but in the confusion, did not manage to get the ball into the end zone.

Had Ole Miss had a timeout, the play likely would have been reviewed following a timeout. The officials did not stop the action to review it, either.

That’s how the Rebels lost to Cal, 28-20 in Oxford.

This game represents the first time since 2010 that a Pac-12 school has beaten an SEC team on the road.
