Quinshon Judkins, former Ole Miss RB, delivers nasty TD run in national championship game

Quinshon Judkins has been a major piece for Ohio State in his first season since transferring in from Ole Miss. While he has split time with fellow running back TreVeyon Henderson, both have been instrumental for the Buckeyes, and it was Judkins’s moment to shine on one drive in the national championship game.
With the game tied at 7-apiece in the 2nd quarter, Ohio State built a sustained drive down inside the red zone with a 1st-and-goal from the 9-yard line. That’s when they called on Judkins, and his individual effort on the play stole the show.
Judkins was under immediate pressure at the line of scrimmage but he delivered an absolutely devastating stiff-arm to send one Notre Dame defender to the turf. After picking up some steam, Judkins met more contact around the 3-yard line but powered all the way through before diving into the end zone.
It’s the kind of play Ole Miss fans are used to seeing from Quinshon Judkins, and it undoubtedly stings his old fanbase to watch him scoring touchdowns on the big stage, in Atlanta, no less. Judkins and the Buckeyes built a 14-7 lead with halftime approaching and have grabbed control of the momentum since Notre Dame’s game-opening touchdown drive.
