Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche’s fall from a fourth-story balcony on Sunday may be more serious than initially reported.

TMZ obtained the 9-1-1 call that brought emergency personnel to the scene. The caller said Nkemdiche was delirious and bleeding after the fall, much more than the initial report of Nkemdiche suffering only “multiple cuts.”

Witnesses at the scene reported asking for defibrillator, according to TMZ.

Nkemdiche has since been charged with possession of marijuana in relation to the incident and is in stable condition at a hospital in the Atlanta area.

Coach Hugh Freeze said Nkemdiche is expected back on campus Monday and his status for the Sugar Bowl remains unclear:

“There’s no cut and dry answer,” Freeze told The Clarion Ledger on Nkemdiche’s status for the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.
