Fox 5 in Atlanta is reporting that police have confimed that Ole Miss DL Robert Nkemdiche injured himself in a fall from a hotel room on Saturday night.

The news station reports that the fall came from about 15 feet off the ground at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Buckhead, Ga., which is a suburb of Atlanta.

That is an update from the previously reported 4th story fall:

Here is more from the station’s report:

According to a report from Atlanta Police, Nkemdiche suffered multiple cuts and abrasions from the fall, however, he told police he “did not know how he ended up on the ground.”

The report also said no one was in the room when Nkemdiche fell, and that drug usage may have been a factor.

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has been contacted for comment:

Nkemdiche played high school football in Gwinnett County. He is expected to be a top prospect for the 2016 NFL draft.

The Tweet that set all of the SEC family on high alert was sent out early Sunday afternoon:
