9. Eastern Kentucky at Kentucky: Can the Wildcats avoid sleepwalking through a game they should win by at least three touchdowns?

8. Eastern Michigan at LSU: Leonard Fournette vs. the nation’s worst rushing defense. How many yards does the Heisman front-runner manage?

7. Vandy at Middle Tennessee: The Commodores have beaten two FBS team during Derek Mason’s short tenure. Will they be able to generate enough offense to take down the Blue Raiders?

6. San Jose State at Auburn: Can the Tigers begin to reverse this season’s fortunes with a strong performance against the Spartans? If not, bowl hopes will be in serious jeopardy with so many challenging games ahead.

5. Alabama at Georgia (A): Facing their first truly competitive opponent this season, will the Bulldogs shake recent struggles against top teams and earn a spot inside Sunday’s Top 5 with a win over Alabama? It starts on defense where Jordan Jenkins is the anchor.

4. Mississippi State at Texas A&M: In a battle of high-powered offenses, the outcome will be determined by which defensive line generates enough pressure to frustrate Dak Prescott or Kyle Allen. Can Mississippi State’s front seven post another dominant performance in the SEC or will the Daeshon Hall + Myles Garrett combination out-play the Bulldogs’ pass rushers?

3. Arkansas at Tennessee: The loser of this game faces certain turmoil over the rest of league play with an 0-2 start. Can Butch Jones overcome the negativity surrounding his late-game decision making and secure a win for his team in the fourth quarter?

2. Ole Miss at Florida: Will Florida’s inexperienced offensive line be able to give Will Grier time to work? The Gators struggled against Tennessee but the young quarterback’s performance on fourth down overcame the obvious deficiencies.

1. Alabama at Georgia (B): Underdogs for the first time since 2009, how will the Crimson Tide respond between the hedges against the highest-ranked team they have faced this season? An 0-2 start to SEC play would all but end Alabama’s shot at a Western Division title.
