Reports surfaced on Friday that the Big Ten, ACC and Pac-12 were considering an alliance that would include scheduling games against each other and voting together on issues involving the College Football Playoff and other matters.

Well, it doesn’t seem the SEC is too worried about that potential alliance, should it come to pass.

An anonymous SEC athletics director texted with college football insider Matt Hayes, trolling the potential ACC/B1G/Pac-12 alliance in the process:

“We’ll play each other, they’ll play each other. Who wins and loses there?” the text read.

The implication is that the SEC is comfortable with the level of teams it has, believing the quality of the league to be better than anything the ACC/B1G/Pac-12 alliance would create.

We’ll see if that does indeed come to pass in the coming months or years.
