The AP Top 25 for Week 13 has been revealed.
It was a relatively-quiet week for the top of the rankings, as Tennessee and BYU were the only top-10 teams to lose in Week 12. The Vols fell to No. 10 after losing 31-17 to Georgia on Saturday night in Athens.
The Bulldogs, meanwhile, jumped up to No. 8 as a result of their big win over the Vols. Texas remains the SEC’s highest-ranked team at No. 3 after escaping a tight game against Arkansas on Saturday.
Alabama and Ole Miss also moved up to No. 7 and No. 9, respectively, this week. The SEC has 5 teams in the top 10 this week.
Texas A&M and South Carolina are the only other SEC programs to be ranked going into Week 13. The Aggies land at No. 15 after being idle this past weekend while the Gamecocks jumped up to No. 19 by virtue of their big win over Mizzou on Saturday. LSU fell out of the top-25 altogether as a result of its third consecutive defeat. Missouri also dropped out of the top 25 this week due to its third loss of the season.
Oregon held on to its No. 1 ranking this week thanks to a narrow win over Wisconsin on the road, 16-13. The Ducks are now 11-0 this season for the first time since 2010.
The Big Ten still has 4 teams in the top 5 this week. No. 2 Ohio State, No. 4 Penn State and No. 5 Indiana all held on to their positions in the top 5.
Illinois jumped back into the top-25 this week at No. 24, giving the Big Ten 5 ranked teams for this week.
