Arch Manning recently wrapped up a busy month of visits as the five-star quarterback prospect from Louisiana has seen his recruitment heat up this summer.

Despite the fact he has two seasons of high school football to complete before he ever sets foot on a college campus, he’s already had to endure an ESPN talk show discussing whether or not he will be the greatest quarterback from the Manning lineage.

Considering the fact his family is considered royalty in the SEC and his two uncles will likely both be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the near future, it may not seem fair to put that kind of pressure on a high school sophomore, but there’s no hiding from the fact Arch Manning’s recruitment will be a huge story until he officially signs with his school of choice.

During a recent interview with Louisiana vs. All Y’all, Manning was asked to comment on his June recruiting tour, which included stops at SMU, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Texas and Southern Cal.

“It was awesome getting to see places I’ve never been, building relationships with coaches,” Manning said. “It was a great experience for me and I’m glad I got it done and now I can focus on the season.”

When asked if all the attention he’s received so far during his young playing career has been unexpected, Manning admitted it is a bit strange but his answer speaks to his maturity for his age.

“Yeah, yeah, it’s definitely surprising. But, you know, I guess it comes with it and I’m ready,” Manning answered. “I think we all are. We are just ready to play some football.”
