College football has some of the most passionate fans in the world, but have you ever wondered which team has the most passion and loyalty? Who has the most fans, the loudest fans, the fans most willing to travel?

Well a new sports analytics research report took a look at college football brand strength, and the results were pretty interesting.

Mike Lewis, who conducted the research, operated off of three different measures of brand strength: a “revenue premium,” which compared revenues from different schools, a return on investment and the flat-out revenues reported by each school.

When Lewis crunched the numbers, there was a very clear winner: the Texas Longhorns.

College football’s best conference, the SEC, made up half of the top 10 however.

No one is surprised to see the SEC well represented in terms of best brands, but the one team that I was surprised to see miss the cut? Alabama.
