With Week 9 of college football in the books, there’s been some movement in CBS Sports analyst Jerry Palm’s bowl projections.

Palm’s projection for the 2 College Football Playoff semifinals hasn’t changed: Georgia, which should easily be the No. 1 team in the 1st CFP rankings when they’re released on Tuesday, is still projected to face Cincinnati, predicted by Palm as the No. 4 team in the rankings. For the Cotton Bowl, Oklahoma is still projected to play Ohio State.

Three SEC teams are now projected by Palm to end up in New Year’s 6 bowls. Alabama is matched up against Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl, unchanged from last week, while Kentucky is still projected to be in the Fiesta Bowl but, in a change from last week, is predicted to play Michigan. Ole Miss, projected in the Citrus Bowl last week vs. Michigan State, is now being predicted by Palm to face Pittsburgh in the Peach Bowl, the Rebels’ first NY6 appearance since the 2016 Sugar Bowl.

As for Alabama and Michigan State, they are Palm’s first 2 out of the Playoff.
