Fans react to Auburn being ranked ahead of Georgia
We knew the College Football Playoff rankings were going to change when No. 1 Georgia, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 6 TCU and No. 9 Washington all losing.
Then, there was the fact that then-No. 10 Auburn mopped the floor with the Bulldogs, picking up a huge 40-17 victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Therefore, in Tuesday’s rankings, Auburn moved up to No. 6, while Georgia fell to No. 7. Though the Bulldogs only have one loss and Auburn has two, the Tigers got the edge after Saturday’s big win.
Even though Auburn just beat Georgia, it’s fair to question which team has a better resume, which is what fans did on Twitter following the release of the rankings.
Here’s what everyone was saying about the Tigers hopping the Bulldogs on Tuesday night:
Auburn>Georgia is a fascinating decision, and probably the right one. Not sure how much to learn from it, though. Because that loss to Clemson may not count against Auburn at all.

No way Georgia would lose to Auburn again. Not after y'all disrespected us

UGA got blown out twice on Saturday night – by Auburn and Miami. Hard to argue with 7.
