Former NFL scout and current analyst Bucky Brooks recognized three former SEC players who stood out during the Senior Bowl practice.

All week, invited players performed drills and scrimmaged in front of NFL scouts and coaches, and it’s a time coaches and scouts get some one-on-one time with players ahead of the NFL Draft. The Senior Bowl game is scheduled for Saturday.

Brooks recognized former South Carolina WR Deebo Samuel, Mississippi State DE Montez Sweat and Mizzou QB Drew Lock.

Named the MVP, Samuel has turned heads all week, flashing his speed and exceptional route-running, something he did every week at South Carolina. Samuel has made himself a very valuable prospect ahead of the NFL Combine with moves like this one:

Mississippi State pass rusher Montez Sweat also established himself as one of the top players regardless of position this week. Brooks also named Lock the to QB of the week.

The Senior Bowl is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 26 from Mobile, Alabama.
