Joel Klatt appeared on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” this week and discussed a couple of big-time openings in the college football world.

He also mentioned a current NFL head coach in connection with the USC and LSU jobs, and it wasn’t Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin.

As you can see below, Klatt suggests Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule might not be interested in staying in the NFL:

“I’ve been told that Matt Rhule is not all the way in on the NFL moving forward and that he could potentially come back down to any of these jobs,” Klatt said.

Would Rhule really leave the NFL to come back to college? That remains to be seen, but if he does, his success at Baylor would make him an attractive candidate for any school with an opening.
