Joseph Phillips, 4-star LB out of Alabama with SEC-heavy top 5, sets commitment date

Joseph Phillips, a 4-star linebacker out of Tuskegee, Alabama (Booker T Washington), who has heavy interest from across the SEC, has announced his commitment date.
Phillips shared on social media that he would commit at noon on Thursday. Phillips has a top 5 of Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 251 pounds, and is rated the No. 10 linebacker in the Class of 2024, and the No. 8 player in the state of Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Phillips has 24 reported offers, and 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have Georgia and Auburn at the front of the pack. His only known official visit this month is to Georgia.
Phillips showed his athleticism last season with 75 tackles, 19 TFL, 9 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and one defensive TD. He also caught 29 passes for 336 yards and 6 TDs.
