The Kansas State Wildcats have found a coach to replace the legendary Bill Snyder, hiring Chris Klieman away from North Dakota State.

Klieman is currently making $300,000 a year to coach the Bison, but he’s got a much bigger payday coming his way once he heads to Manhattan.

Per a release from the school, Klieman has agreed to a six-year contract that has a starting salary that is $2 million more than he’s currently making:

Klieman has agreed to a six-year contract with a base salary of $2.3 million in 2019 with a $200,000 increase each year.

Klieman will have his work cut out for him to turn around a Wildcats program that struggled in 2018, but he’ll be paid handsomely to do so.

We’ll see how he fares in year one, but first, he’ll try to win his fourth title at North Dakota State.
