Madden NFL 20 rookie ratings have been released by EA Sports.

The highest rated rookie is from the SEC, too. Alabama’s Quinnen Williams is rated an 80 overall, just ahead of former Houston standout Ed Oliver. Williams’ best attribute in the ratings is his strength, rated at 89 overall. His lowest is awareness rated at 74 overall. Entering the draft, some pegged Williams the best overall player in the field, but Williams was picked third overall behind QB Kyler Murray (Cardinals) and DL Nick Bosa (49ers).

Kentucky’s Josh Allen was ranked second among SEC rookies with a 77 overall rating. Allen joined WR Marquise Brown (Ravens) and TJ Hockenson (Lions) with that rating. Allen’s rise to the seventh pick in the draft by the Jaguars has been well documented, and he should make an instant splash in Jacksonville.

There was a tie for fifth place with Josh Jacobs, Jeffery Simmons and Devin White all rated a 74 overall. Below are the top five, according to EA Sports’ website:

  • Quinnen Williams (Alabama), DT, New York Jets, 80 overall
  • Josh Allen (Kentucky), DE, Jacksonville Jaguars, 77 overall
  • DK Metcalf (Ole Miss), WR, Seattle Seahawks, 76 overall
  • Irv Smith (Alabama), TE, Minnesota Vikings, 75 overall
  • *Josh Jacobs (Alabama), RB, Oakland Raiders, 74 overall
  • *Jeffery Simmons (Miss State), DE, Tennessee Titans, 74 overall
