Miami QB arrested for DUI, cocaine in Florida Keys
This is not the news Mark Richt wanted to wake up to on the first Saturday of the season.
Police records show that Miami QB Tucker Beirne was arrested in Tavernier, Fla. early Saturday morning for DUI and possession of cocaine.
According to WPLG, Beirne, a freshman, was not expected to play in the Hurricanes’ season opener against Florida A&M Saturday.
The station reports that a UM team spokesman declined comment on the arrest.
