Pat McAfee delivers Horns down while picking Ohio State to win Cotton Bowl

Pat McAfee has never had an issue being bold or making a statement. And he certainly did not pull any punches as he delivered a “Horns down” while picking Ohio State to take down Texas in the Cotton Bowl.
McAfee seems to have a particular disdain for Texas, as this is far from the first time that he has done this, also doing the gesture when Texas played Georgia and Oklahoma in the past. Here’s a look at the moment from Friday — and McAfee was not alone at all as every analyst on the “College Gameday” set chose the Buckeyes to come out with the victory in Arlington, Texas.
This is a game that many expect to come down to the wire, and the way that ESPN drew it up pregame was nothing short of interesting. Curiously enough, ESPN’s FPI gave the Longhorns a slim edge with a 50.6% chance of victory. However, ESPN Bet had listed Ohio State as a -5.5 favorite.
The Buckeyes have put up a convincing case for themselves with a statement made in their 41-21 trouncing of formerly No. 1-ranked Oregon in which quarterback Will Howard and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith jived in a way that was practically unstoppable. Texas comes off of a much closer victory after the Longhorns slid past the Arizona State Sun Devils, 39-31 in overtime.
The winner of Friday’s contest between the Buckeyes and the Longhorns will advance to the CFP national title game in Atlanta, Georgia to face Notre Dame.
