Pat McAfee could be headed to a larger relationship with ESPN, as the media sensation is reportedly set to leave a lucrative deal with FanDuel.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported that as McAfee contemplates walking away from his $120 million deal with FanDuel, ESPN has emerged as the leading candidate to be the home for his daily show. McAfee, 36, has become a multi-platform sensation with his “Pat McAfee Show” on YouTube, his work as a WWE performer and as a “College GameDay” panelist, but now he is working toward a larger relationship with ESPN.

No deal is finalized.

McAfee on his show has hinted at an announcement soon.

Marchand reported that McAfee’s potential compensation at ESPN is not yet known, though it is expected to be in the 8-figures-per-year range. It may be less than the $30 million-plus a year FanDuel deal he is potentially walking away from.

McAfee about a month ago announced plans to return to “College GameDay” this season, and added that beyond that, conversations are pending.

McAfee returned to GameDay in a full-time capacity last season. He’s known for executing various stunts, such as a backflip belly flop with the Vol Navy.
