Woodland would be a big-time pickup for either program. He’s the No. 356 overall player and the No. 32 athlete in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 13 player from the state of Mississippi.
He’s received offers from some of the top programs in the country. The list includes Texas, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Auburn, to name a few.
Woodland attends Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss. He’s listed at 6-foot, 165 pounds.
Mississippi State has 9 commitments so far this cycle. The group sits at No. 29 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
LSU has one of the top classes in the country so far. The Tigers have 16 commits already and own the nation’s No. 5-ranked class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
