Raiding the bank: Raiders reportedly set to offer Jon Gruden a historically massive contract
This offseason, Texas A&M hired Jimbo Fisher with a 10-year, $75 million contract, which was seen as a huge deal at the time.
However, the Oakland Raiders have now one-upped the Aggies, as they are emptying the bank for their new head coach, Jon Gruden.
According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders are going to give Gruden a massive 10-year, $100 million deal, the richest and longest coaching contract in NFL history:

Obviously, that’s a ton of money to spend on a coach, as most players don’t even make $10 million a year, but that’s the way coaching salaries are going these days.
To be the best, you have to spend with the best, and the Raiders want to prove they’re a player on the big stage as they prepare to move to Las Vegas in a couple of years.
