It would be crazy to imagine ESPN’s SEC Network without Paul Finebaum, but if negotiations continue to lag this month, the popular television and radio host could move on.

Finebaum has reportedly already said that he won’t go to the upcoming SEC Media Days if he doesn’t have a new deal, and nothing has become finalized since then.

Now, according to a report from Sporting News, Finebaum has some other big-name suitors, as the Big Ten Network could be after the popular SEC host.

FOX owns a 51-percent share in the network, so it would basically be another instance of top ESPN talent being poached by the company.

Could Finebaum’s show work in Big Ten country? It would be interesting to see, and if ESPN doesn’t lock up Finebaum soon, that’s exactly what could happen for the upcoming season.
