Official SEC Media football predictions for 2020 season released
While we didn’t get an opportunity to have SEC Media Days leading up to the 2020 college football season, that wasn’t going to stop the league from voting for the final standings leading up to the season.
The Southeastern Conference released the media’s preseason selections on Wednesday, and no surprise, Alabama was picked ton win the league.

LOL. So dumb. So, so, so dumb.
But hey, thanks all you dumb narrative shippers, because y’all just gave Kirby everything he needs to ensure we stomp the ‘turds into the turf in Jacksonville for the fourth year in a row.
I have a feeling the entire argument of Florida > UGA is really Kyle Trask > JT Daniels.
Both teams are potent, but one has a dynamic returning QB and the other is just coming off IR to start his first season.

Interesting, UGA was picked 2nd in the East but picked 2nd overall ahead of UF. Pretty good rankings but their often wrong when picking the winners. I’d have it as follows:
East. West
UGA. Bama
UF. LSU
UK. Aub
UT. A&M
SC. State
Mizzou. Ole Miss
Vandy. Arky
Can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Excited we’re about to get SEC football!
LSU and UGA will go 7-3 this year. Is that good for 2nd in both divisions, maybe.
It very well could be, especially in the West. I got LSU at 7-3 or 8-2 and UGA at 9-1. I’ve got your Vols at 4-6. Where do you think they’ll finish?
LSU will win at least 8 games. UGA will lose 2 and I definitely think the Vols are much better than 4-6. I think they’ll go 7-3 potentially being a surprise east contender with good QB play…but that is a stretch.
I think the Vols have 3 losses with UF, UGA, and Bama. They also play Aub and A&M. A split would be great for them. That’s 4 losses at best but I say 5. Then UK and SC likely results in 6 losses. Very doubtful the Vols get 7 wins. But as they say, “ that’s why you play the game”! So we’ll see……..
What happens if the SEC is just too tough for any team to run off and hide from the rest of the field? Take the bottom 6 teams, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Missouri, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State. Figure that they could combine to go about 12-48. Let’s now give Kentucky and Tennessee 5-5 records. That brings the total to 22-58. The remaining 6 teams–Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M would have to combine for 48-12. What if all 6 go 8-2? Wouldn’t that be a fine kettle of fish to determine playoff participants, especially if Oklahoma or Texas runs the table, with the close loser of that game having 1 loss; if Ohio State and one other Big Ten team combine for 17-1; and if a team like UCF, Cincinnati, Army, or BYU goes undefeated with mostly blowout wins.
Still, any of the 6, 8-2 SEC teams would be superior to these other teams, maybe better than an undefeated Clemson or Notre Dame and a 1-loss loser of that game.
So many of the bowl games might cancel. This would be the perfect time to amend the Playoffs for one year and go to 8, 12, or 16 teams. There will be no games between the big 4 conferences, so comparing a 10-0 team from one to an 8-2 team from another is useless. Allow 2 teams from each of the big 4 to automatically qualify. Then, if a choice has to be made who to take and who to leave out, let the potential mistakes be made down at 3rd and 4th places in the leagues comparing them to the top G5 team if said G5 team runs the table.
Seems legit
