One of the nation’s best safety prospects plans to play his college football in the SEC.

Powder spring, Ga., native Jaylen McCollough announced his final four Tuesday evening and the only programs listed all hail from the SEC. Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and South Carolina were the four teams that made the cut for McCollough, who ranks as a four-star prospect, the No. 4 safety in the nation and the No. 100 overall prospect in the nation according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Here is his official announcement stating the news:

McCollough plays both sides of the ball in high school but is being recruited as a defensive back at the next level. Given his big-play potential with the ball in his hands and his displayed versatility without it, there’s a good chance he also plays special teams in college.
