My picks for SEC Tournament Round 2

Josiah-Jordan James “higher” 18.5 points+rebounds+assists. With Zakai Zeigler out with a torn ACL, someone has to pick up the slack as a playmaker. Zeigler was the SEC’s assists leader, so the Vols need someone who can move the ball around. I expect JJJ to reach a total of 19 points and rebounds without even including assists. Add in a few assists as he plays some point-forward and he should easily surpass this total.

Anthony Black “higher” 21.5 points+rebounds+assists. Anthony Black is a large point guard, standing 6-7. Wendell Green Jr. is 5-11. KD Johnson is 6-0. Zep Jasper is 6-1. Black will have a size advantage over whichever guard is assigned to stop him on Auburn’s roster. In the Hogs’ previous matchup with Auburn on Jan. 7, Black had 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Expect another big performance from him on Thursday.

Wendell Green Jr. “higher” 21.5 points+rebounds+assists. In the Jan. 7 matchup between Auburn and Arkansas, Green had 19 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. He is the catalyst for Auburn’s offense, so if the Tigers are going to make a run in Nashville, it’ll need to start with Green. Look for him to get a couple of early buckets to start what will surely be an intense matchup between the Tigers and Razorbacks.

How many picks should you make?

The more picks you string together, the higher the “multiplier” or payout. Of course, the more you string together, the less likely you are to win because all of the picks have to hit in order for you to win.

A 3-way parlay of the picks I listed above would pay out $60 on a $10 entry:

If you’re looking to play it safe and only make 2 picks, I’d recommend taking Green out of the above contest and riding with Black and James. Then settle in for a long, exciting day of college basketball!
