Ohio State insider reveals details of Urban Meyer debate between board of trustees, school president
The Ohio State Board of Trustees and school president Michael Drake have been meeting since 9 a.m. this morning, debating the future of coach Urban Meyer.
Though we’ll probably get a decision relatively soon, it appears there is a major sticking point between the trustees and Drake.
According to Ohio State insider Dave Biddle, the sticking point is that Drake wants Meyer to serve a suspension and the trustees want him reinstated immediately:

CliffsNotes version (from what I've been told): Ohio State's BoT wants to reinstate Urban Meyer immediately. University president Michael Drake is balking at that; wants Meyer to serve a suspension. Meyer refuses to serve suspension since he thinks he did nothing wrong. #Buckeyes

That seems like a pretty major rift between the two sides, and we’ll have to see who wins out at the end of the day.
The debate has been going on for a full workday now, though, so it appears this has been a pretty tense discussion between Drake and the trustees.
