The SEC doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to intelligence and cultural sensitivity, and we’ve always propped you up as above the fray. You’re like a doughy, balding 56-year-old accountant amongst a herd of yoked frat dudes. We need your maturity, your control and your wisdom.
Imagine our surprise when we see this tweet set the internet ablaze.
It’s an interesting public relations strategy. Steer directly into the storm, and tweet, “We Don’t Need Your Permission,” in the midst of a two year long rape scandal. Bold. Unapologetic — well, at least until the apology.
