Former Alabama offensive coordinator, now FAU head coach, Lane Kiffin has always been extraordinary. He has gained notoriety as an offensive savant and is the son of a well-known NFL coach, as an incredibly young NFL head coach, and as the only Saban assistant that made waves while at Alabama.

Now that he’s out on his own at FAU, Kiffin has opened up even more, and he discussed several hot button topics with Arkansas radio personality Bo Mattingly.

Topics of note included where he watched Alabama’s loss to Clemson in the national title, how close he was to joining Ed Orgeron at LSU, his time at Tennessee, and of course, those bizarre tweets that came out of his account on Tuesday.

Kiffin is always good for a quote, and it’s good for college football that he’s now free to spread his wings embrace the eccentricity that makes him so unique.
