Tim Tebow is trying his best to become a “Rookie” type story in the MLB.

Tebow is a natural athlete, and at 252 pounds, a big left-handed stick in the lineup is what some managers and general mangers dream about.

On Tuesday, Tebow held his MLB tryout in front of 40 scouts representing more than 20 teams, and it looks like he had a good day. Tebow showed his speed — clocked at 6.65 60-yard dash, and his arm strength while shagging balls in the outfield.

But everyone was waiting on his batting practice session.

While his swing may need to be tweaked — and it’s only batting practice, Tebow parked several pitches over the right field wall, showing off his raw power.

But can he hit a slider from a legit MLB left-handed pitcher? He may get the opportunity to find out.

Here’s Tebow showing off some raw power Tuesday:

Here’s one that reportedly went 430 feet, according to one scout who estimated the landing spot.
