WATCH: Mike Leach tells hilarious, confusing story about jackalopes following win over Wyoming

Washington State had to come from behind to pick up a Week 1 win over Wyoming, and afterwards, coach Mike Leach was his usual charismatic self.
A seemingly straightforward question about Wyoming’s elevation spiraled into a patented Leach story.
As you can see in the video below, Leach turns the question about elevation into a story about jackalopes — fictional jackrabbits that have antlers:
A question about Wyoming’s elevation transformed into a Mike Leach tangent about jackalopes. “I sold a bunch of jackalopes to people to this day from back east that think there are spots out west where jackrabbits actually have horns.” Gotta listen to the whole thing. pic.twitter.com/G3jY3Fa5sX

“I love talking about (elevation) myself, just like I love talking about jackalopes,” he said. “I sold a bunch of jackalopes to people to this day from back east that think there are spots out west where jackrabbits actually have horns. I actually have one at home and if anyone ever asks if it’s real, I always say ‘Damn right it’s real.’ We used to talk about elevation the same way.”
Never change, Mike. Please never change.
